Saigon Asset Management Hires New CIO
(Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam - September 23, 2009) Saigon Asset Management (SAM), the investment manager of two top performing Vietnam focused funds, today announced the appointment of Mr. Hoang Nguyen, in the new role as Chief Investment Officer (CIO).
Mr. Hoang Nguyen previously was an investment manager at Zurich Financial Services (ZFS), overseeing 5 billion Swiss francs of asset under management. He was also a portfolio manager for UBS in Zurich, Luxembourg and New York, where he was responsible for a portfolio of over US$500 millions of private wealth clients with focus on European, North American, and Japanese markets.

Along with having two decades of investment experience, Mr. Hoang Nguyen holds a Master Degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. He is currently a lecturer of the program "Executive Master in Finance and Banking" at the Ho Chi Minh University of Finance and Banking in co-operation with the North-West University of Switzerland.
